More than 15,000 personnel from different agencies will be deployed to assist in safety and security during the Feast of the Black Nazarene.
A total of 15,276 police and other safety personnel were officially sent-off on January 6, as activities for the #Nazareno2024 began.
Present during the send-off ceremony that happened at Quirino Grandstand were Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna, NCRPO Regional Director Jose Melecio Nartatez Jr., Quiapo Church Rector Fr. Rufino Sescon Jr., Parish Vicar Fr. Jonathan Mojica, and other leaders of different agencies who joined forces for the event.

“The actual kissing of the feet is still prohibited and attendees can only touch the Nazareno’s sole and cross,” the lady mayor stressed.
The personnel will be deployed in strategic areas such as Quirino Grandstand, Quiapo Church, and the whole Procession Route.
They will focus on anti-criminality and securing the peace and order as the feast is expected to draw millions of devotees.
