The Department of Health (DOH), through Secretary Ted Herbosa, lauded the DOH nursing scholars who succeeded in the recent nursing board examination.
Out of 179 DOH scholars, 147 are now included in the list of new registered nurses in the Philippines.
The scholarship was granted to nursing graduates who are currently working in private hospitals, government hospitals, private companies, and other government institutions, and government hospitals as clinical care associates or nursing aides.
“The Carl Balita Review Center (CBRC) does not require the scholars to have a service contract as all we want is for them to pass the board and join our nursing force.”
“The Carl Balita Review Center (CBRC) does not require the scholars to have a service contract as all we want is for them to pass the board and join our nursing force. The partnership aims to create a model that helps them to undergo review while working and without any bond of service,” CBRC Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Carl Balita said.
“Wherever these new nurses may choose to go, the beneficiary remains to be humanity and career advancement is their choice.”
“Wherever these new nurses may choose to go, the beneficiary remains to be humanity and career advancement is their choice. With this in mind, we still hope that these nurses continue to serve the Filipinos amid the demand for Filipino professional nurses abroad,” Balita added.
The DOH recognized Dr. Balita for its partnership which was launched in June of this year with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Under the partnership, scholars were provided with a free online review and mentorship program to help nursing graduates take the board exam with ease.
“Now that we have proof of the effectiveness of the program, we shall continue this project as a public-private partnership to benefit the health human resource of our health care system,” Herbosa guaranteed.
